In 2021 I suffered from an illness that took around 80% of my hair, along with my loss of hair I had a loss of confidence. I suffered from depression and did a lot of crying. Mostly in the shower where the fall out was the worst. I didn’t like going out and started staying home as much as possible.

My hair loss affected me in ways I never thought possible. It was just hair, right? No…My hair gave me my identity; it made me feel feminine and it made me feel pretty. Now, sadly it was gone…

I began searching for options to hide my hair loss. Ball caps, deposit color to make my hair appear less thin and I landed on wigs. I tried all types, brands and price points. I started wearing them regularly and started sharing my newfound joy which led me to meet more women suffering from hair loss. The biggest hurdle in my wig journey was finding the right fit and the right color. There were no wig shops within two hours of me, so all my purchases were online. Some of my purchases were very bad and some were very good. Returning wigs was not an option so if it was not a good fit or good color, I was stuck with it. With all my knowledge I had gained over the previous year, trials and triumphs, I decided to put it into action and open a wig boutique. I want to help other women on their wig journey, so they don't have to struggle the way I did.
